TIM PEELER: B-Ballin' at the Old Barn A Hit for Men, Women

By now, everyone knows Brandon Costner has game. For a few fleeting moments Friday night, he had red hair too. Costner, wearing a red-and-white wig he borrowed from a member of the pep band, could not win the three-point shooting contest with partner Megan Zullo, but he definitely caught everyone's attention at the B-Ballin' at the old Barn, a practice and skills exhibition Friday night at historic Reynolds Coliseum. So did men's head coach Sidney Lowe and women's head coach Kay Yow, both looking energized for the coming season. Lowe, entering his second year at the school, appears more fit after his personal off-season conditioning program. Yow, who fought a public battle with cancer throughout last season, says she's looking forward to her 33rd season as the Wolfpack women's head coach.
