Delahunt named Summit League Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill.- Senior Sean Delahunt has been named The Summit League Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week after taking first place in the shot put at the EIU Early Bird Open.

Delahunt (Pekin, Ill./Community) won the shot put with a throw of 17.49-meters, three meters more than the second-place finisher. Delahunt also took second in the weight throw with a toss of 16.99-meters.

The Western Illinois indoor track teams are off for the holiday season and will return to action Saturday, January 12, at the Purdue Open.
