McConnell Named Preseason NCBWA All-America

The National College Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday named NC State senior righthander Eryk McConnell to its preseason All-America team. McConnell, who went 3-2 with 11 saves and a 1.72 ERA as the Wolfpack's closer in 2007, will move to the starting rotation for his senior year.
