Reservations being taken for January 19 football banquet

MACOMB, Ill. - Reservations are now being accepted for Western Illinois University’s postseason football banquet, which will be held Saturday, January 19 and will be emceed by WGEM-TV Sports Director Ben Marth.

Doors will open at noon for the annual awards banquet which will officially begin with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom. The awards presentation will immediately follow lunch, and the program will conclude with the unveiling of the 2007 highlight video.

The general public is invited to attend at a cost of $15 per plate. Reservations may be made by contacting the Western Illinois football office by January 15 at (309) 298-1515.

The 2007 Leathernecks featured 12 all-conference honorees, four academic all-conference selections, three all-newcomer team members and three all-Americans.
