Hickson Earns ACC Rookie of the Week Honors Again

In earning the league's rookie award for the third time this season, J.J. Hickson turned in back-to-back “double-doubles” in games against Georgia Tech and Florida State. The Marietta, Ga., product had 16 points, 10 rebounds and one blocked shot in Wednesday's 77-74 loss to the Yellow Jackets. In Saturday's 69-66 victory at Florida State, Hickson keyed the Pack to its first ACC road win of the season, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds. With the game tied 66-66, the 6-9, 242-pound freshman hit two free throws with 9.6 seconds, and then blocked Florida State's final shot to give NC State the win.
