Steger named The Summit League Golfer of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. - Jared Steger has been named The Summit League’s Golfer of the Week after his fifth place performance at the Grover Page Classic.

Steger paced the Leathernecks to a tie for third place as a team. The Bannockburn, Ill., native shot rounds of 72 and 74 to tie for fifth place individually in the tournament, which was his second top-10 finish of the season.

This was the first golfer of the week honor for Steger who leads Western with a 74.8 stroke average this season.

Steger and the Leathernecks head to North Carolina for the Pinehurst Invitational, March 23-24.
