June 29, 2008 on 8:37 pm | In Athletics |MACOMB, Ill. The Western Illinois women’s basketball team was at Hy-Vee Sunday, March 30 to raise funds for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. The team bagged groceries and assisted shoppers in the store while accepting donations.
The team raised over $445 for Relay for Life. The Westerwinds will be participating in the event that starts Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. and ends Saturday, April 12 at 6 a.m. in the University Mall.
